About Our Program
NewYork-Presbyterian provides advanced and comprehensive pediatric care to meet children's health and wellness needs at every life stage. We take a personalized and holistic approach to pediatric care in which we view each patient as a whole person with physical and emotional needs and concerns.
At NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital and NewYork-Presbyterian Komansky Children's Hospital, or through services available at our community sites and practices across the metropolitan area, our experienced Child and Adolescent Health physicians provide expert and compassionate care of children and adolescents. We provide preventive care, regular checkups, treatment of illnesses, routine vaccinations, and screening tests for children of every age. Our adolescent medicine specialists provide primary care and family planning services, including pregnancy testing and screening and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, HIV testing and counseling, gender-affirming care, and young men's health services.
We offer outpatient health care for children and adolescents at several locations in the communities we serve. This includes school-based clinics and NewYork-Presbyterian's Ambulatory Care Network (ACN). Our community health programs include preventive care, primary care, and special programs promoting literacy, child advocacy, and youth development, among other services.
Through our multidisciplinary team approach, our physicians care for a range of patients, from healthy newborns to children with complex diagnoses, and establish continuity of care among specialists and primary care doctors.

Community Pediatrics
Through a partnership between the NewYork-Presbyterian Ambulatory Care Network, the NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center Department of Pediatrics, and community organizations, Community Pediatrics aims to improve the health status of children and adolescents in the communities of northern Manhattan through partnerships between community and academic organizations, innovative pediatric training experiences, population health initiatives, and enhanced academic leadership.
Community Pediatrics programs are geared toward reducing the prevalence of childhood obesity, improving health literacy, breaking the link between poverty and poor health, preparing middle- and high school students for careers in biomedical science and medicine, incorporating early literacy into pediatric primary care, addressing mental health issues during the elementary school years, and reducing childhood asthma.
