Steven J. Corwin, M.D, is President and Chief Executive Officer of NewYork-Presbyterian, one of the nation’s largest, most comprehensive healthcare systems. Under his leadership, NewYork-Presbyterian has nearly doubled in size and now comprises more than 47,000 employees and affiliated physicians, providing world-class care at 10 hospitals, and 200 community-based primary and specialty care clinics and medical practices across Greater New York.

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is the only academic medical center in the country affiliated with two top-ranked medical schools − Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and Weill Cornell Medicine. NYP is ranked among the top 10 hospitals in the nation, and has been the No. 1 hospital in New York for more than 20 years, according to U.S. News and World Report’s “Best Hospitals” list.

During the first wave of COVID-19, New York City became one of the early epicenters of the disease. Between March and May 2020, approximately 54,000 New York City residents were hospitalized, including more than 11,500 COVID-19 patients who were admitted to NYP locations – some of the highest volumes of COVID patients in the nation. Under Dr. Corwin’s leadership, NYP undertook a multifaceted response to the pandemic, in close collaboration with the two medical schools, to address inpatient capacity, staffing needs, equipment shortages, disease management, and patient and community education.

As President and CEO, Dr. Corwin has launched groundbreaking initiatives such as NYP OnDemand, a suite of digital health services that increases access to NewYork-Presbyterian’s expert care, and the installation of a single, integrated, electronic medical record across the NYP enterprise. He has overseen development of state-of-the-art care facilities including the NewYork-Presbyterian David H. Koch Center, an ambulatory care facility; the Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns at Weill Cornell Medicine, exclusively dedicated to the healthcare needs of pregnant women and their newborn babies; the Center for Community Health, a multispecialty outpatient center in Brooklyn; and the Och Spine Hospital, a premier center for orthopedic and neurological spine surgery.

In an era of racial reckoning across the country, Dr. Corwin positioned NYP to national leadership on addressing the root causes of health inequity by establishing the Dalio Center for Health Justice in late 2020. The center is committed to improving the health and well-being of NYP’s patients and communities through research, dialogue and education; equity in its clinical operations; investment in communities; and advocacy. Dr. Corwin has championed a Respect Credo, and a Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Initiative that foster a culture of respect, inclusion, and belonging throughout NYP. Under his leadership, NewYork-Presbyterian has been recognized as a “Best Place to Work” by Forbes, Fortune, Glassdoor, Becker’s Healthcare, and others.

A cardiologist and internist, Dr. Corwin is Past Chairman of the Health Care Systems Council of the American Hospital Association. He is also a Past Chairman and current board member of the Healthcare Association of New York State, and the Greater New York Hospital Association, as well as an Advisory Board Member at the New York Academy of Medicine. In addition, he is a member of the Citizens’ Committee for Children of New York’s Corporate Advisory Council, the Association for a Better New York’s Census 2020 Committee, and a member of the Mayor’s Fund Board of Advisors. In May 2021, Dr. Corwin was elected to membership in the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Jennings R. Aske is Senior Vice President, Chief Information Security Officer for NewYork-Presbyterian. In this role, he is responsible for leading the hospital's information security and business continuity programs, as well leading the Medical Staff Office. Mr. Aske joined NewYork-Presbyterian in 2015. Previously, he served as Vice President of Information Security and Chief Information Security Officer of Nuance Communications. Prior to working at Nuance, he served in Chief Information Security Officer roles at Partners HealthCare, UMass Memorial Medical Center, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts' Executive Office of Health and Human Services. Mr. Aske received his Bachelor's and Master's from the State University of New York, and his law degree from Boston University School of Law. He was also an editor of the American Journal of Law & Medicine.

Daniel J. Barchi, MEM, is the Group Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer of NewYork-Presbyterian. In this role, he oversees the strategic vision and management of information technology, innovation, analytics, artificial intelligence, telemedicine, and pharmacy. Mr. Barchi joined NewYork-Presbyterian in 2015 and previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Yale New Haven Health System and Yale School of Medicine, where he led a number of important initiatives, including implementation of the electronic medical record across three hospitals, and the roll-out of a secure iPhone application for physician communication. He also served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Carilion Health System. Mr. Barchi holds a Bachelor of Science from the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis as well as a Master of Engineering Management from Old Dominion University. He served as a Brigade Commander while at the U.S. Naval Academy and was twice awarded the Navy Commendation Medal for superior leadership.

Michael P. Breslin, CPA, is Group Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer for NewYork-Presbyterian. In this role, he oversees all financial matters, including financial reporting, financial planning, revenue cycle, budget, reimbursement, cost accounting, financing, insurance, strategic sourcing, supply chain, patient access, and managed care. He previously served as Senior Vice President, Finance. Mr. Breslin joined NewYork-Presbyterian in 2015, bringing many years of experience in accounting, budgeting, accounts payable, payroll, insurance, tax, audit, capital, treasury, procurement and strategic sourcing, patient financial services, and internal finance control functions. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President, Finance, at New York Methodist Hospital, a sponsored hospital of the NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare System. Prior to that, he served as Chief Financial Officer at both Lenox Hill Hospital and Richmond University Medical Center, where he was promoted to Chief Executive Officer. His relationship with NewYork-Presbyterian began many years ago when he worked with NewYork-Presbyterian as a partner at the accounting firm of Ernst & Young. Mr. Breslin holds his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Manhattan College and is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in New York State.

Mary Cassai, RN, is Senior Vice President for Perioperative Services. In this role, she is responsible for all aspects of day-to-day operations for perioperative services at NYP, including operating rooms, post anesthesia care units, central sterile processing, and specialized adult and pediatric suites for Endoscopy and Cystoscopy. She develops and direct processes through the continuum of care, supporting outcomes specific to perioperative services patient flow, clinical outcomes, customer satisfaction and efficiency, as well as for strategic and capital equipment planning and technology assessment for perioperative services. Ms. Cassai joined NYP/Weill Cornell in 2009. She has recently served as Vice President of Clinical Applications, NYP and as Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer for the Ambulatory Care Network and NYP Allen. In these leadership roles, she helped to ensure outstanding professional practice and high-quality patient care outcomes. Ms. Cassai received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Long Island University, a Master’s of Public Administration degree from New York University, and attained the Nurse Executive, Advanced Certification.

Mary Beth Claus is Group Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel for NewYork-Presbyterian. In this role, she is responsible for developing the legal and corporate strategies for the enterprise, and managing corporate, tax, real estate, labor and employment, corporate governance, antitrust and risk management issues. Additionally, she supervises internal audit and compliance, and serves as the chief legal advisor to senior leadership and the Board of Trustees. Ms. Claus joined NYP in 2019 with over 30 years of legal health care experience. Prior to NYP, she served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Indiana University Health and was Deputy Chief Legal Officer for Cleveland Clinic. Ms. Claus also gained more than 20 years of private law firm experience as a partner in the health care sections of two large firms. For two years, she served as Health and Human Services Executive Liaison for former Indiana Governor Evan Bayh. Ms. Claus received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati and her law degree from Indiana University. She has been named among the top lawyers in the country in The Best Lawyers in America and Indiana Super Lawyers, including the distinction as one of Indiana’s top 25 female lawyers.

Emme Deland, MBA, is Senior Vice President, Strategy and Strategy Advisor to the Dalio Center for Health Justice.The Dalio Center for Health Justice aims to understand and address the root causes of health inequities with a goal of setting a new standard of health justice for the communities we serve. Prior to October 2020, Emme was Senior Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer for NewYork-Presbyterian. She was responsible for developing clinical and corporate strategies for the enterprise, and for identifying, disseminating, and commercializing new innovation. She also serves on the board of the NewYork-Presbyterian Health Policy Center. Ms. Deland joined NewYork-Presbyterian in 2000. Previously, she worked at Mount Sinai Medical Center and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Prior to joining the health care field, she was an international banker at Chemical Bank. Ms. Deland graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College with a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies and obtained her Master of Business Administration from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business. She is a Director of the Kornfeld and Zeitz Foundations, a board member of The American Memorial Hospital in Rheims, France, The Orchestra of St. Luke’s,The Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, The Park Avenue Armory, and Clear Scientific.

Kerry Sayres DeWitt is Chief of Staff to the President & Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Steven J. Corwin, and Senior Vice President of Communications & External Relations for NewYork-Presbyterian. In this role, she oversees government relations, public affairs, marketing, internal communications, community relations and grants. A member of NewYork-Presbyterian’s senior leadership team since 2011, she brings over 30 years of health care experience to her current position. Before joining NewYork-Presbyterian, Ms. DeWitt spent fifteen years at EmblemHealth as Vice President of Government Relations, where she advised senior management on political and governmental issues, developed organizational policy and budgets and collaborated on strategic initiatives. Prior to her work at EmblemHealth, Ms. DeWitt worked with all managed health plans in New York as Vice President of the New York State HMO Conference and Council. She also worked for over 15 years in the New York State Assembly where she held numerous staff leadership positions, oversaw the program activity of the standing committees, and worked for several New York State officials. Ms. DeWitt received her Bachelor’s from Yale University.

Paul J. Dunphey, M.B.A., is Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer for NYP Allen and NYP Lawrence hospitals. In this dual role, he leads day-to-day operations for the NYP Allen and NYP Lawrence campuses and works closely with each facility’s respective team to focus on the patient experience; quality and patient safety; financial and operational strength; and relationship building with staff, physicians, and the community. Mr. Dunphey joined NewYork-Presbyterian in 1990, and since then has held various leadership roles in operations, finance and quality with progressive responsibility. Mr. Dunphey received his undergraduate degree from Providence College and his Master of Business Administration from Baruch College.

Rick Evans, MA, is Senior Vice President & Chief Experience Officer for NewYork-Presbyterian. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing NewYork-Presbyterian’s efforts to enhance the patient and family experience across the continuum of care, and developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to increase patient satisfaction across the enterprise. Previously, he served as the Chief Experience Officer for Massachusetts General Hospital and its physician organization for four years, overseeing the patient experience along with physician leadership programs, visitor education programs, and the referral management office. Prior to this, Mr. Evans spent seven years at NewYork-Presbyterian overseeing Patient Centered Care, Support Services, and Volunteer Services, first as Director, and then as Vice President. Earlier in his career, he served as Vice President of Mission Services for the Bon Secours and Canterbury Partnership for Care in New Jersey, as well as the Director of the St. Francis Hospital Foundation in Delaware. Mr. Evans holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from Wadhams Hall Seminary College and a Master’s in Theology from Christ the King Seminary.

William J. Farrell, CPA, is Senior Vice President, Finance for NewYork-Presbyterian. As a member of the NewYork-Presbyterian leadership team, Mr. Farrell oversees a variety of different financial departments including Accounting and Financial Reporting, Revenue Cycle Operations, Revenue Cycle Training, Financial Controls, Soarian Project Oversight, 340b Program, Reimbursement, Charge Master, and Performance Improvement. In addition, Mr. Farrell serves on several boards and is a leader of various Hospital-wide committees. Prior to joining NewYork-Presbyterian in 1989, he was a Senior Auditor at the accounting firm Pannell Kerr Forster, an international network of business advisory firms, where he specialized in hospital audits. Mr. Farrell obtained his undergraduate degree in Public Accounting from Hofstra University and is a Certified Public Accountant. In 2011, he received the Healthcare Financial Management Association's Future Financial Leader Award in recognition of his industry contributions, and in 2015 was accepted into the Academy GE Fellows Program for Financial Executives.

Peter M. Fleischut, MD, is Senior Vice President and Chief Transformation Officer for NewYork-Presbyterian. In this role, he oversees the management of enterprise clinical information technology, innovation, artificial intelligence, telemedicine, lab operations, pharmacy operations and graduate medical education. Dr. Fleischut is also responsible for the development of the NYP OnDemand suite of digital health services and the implementation of clinical operations for the new David H. Koch Center at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell. Additionally, Dr. Fleischut oversees all aspects of Graduate Medical Education (GME) for programs across the NYP enterprise. Dr. Fleischut joined NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell in 2006 and has held the roles of Medical Director of the Operating Rooms, Deputy Quality Patient Safety Officer, founding Director of the Center for Perioperative Outcomes, Vice Chairman, Chief Medical Information Officer, Chief Innovation Officer and Chief Medical Operating Officer. In 2016, he became Vice Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology at Weill Cornell Medical College, where he is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology. He is a graduate of Jefferson Medical College and the Wharton Program for Working Professionals at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Fleischut has received numerous awards and honors, including NewYork-Presbyterian’s Physician of the Year, Modern Healthcare Up and Comers, Becker’s Hospital Review 40 under 40, and the American Telehealth Association President’s Award.

Robert Guimento, M.H.A., is President of NYP Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. In this role, he is responsible for the strategic direction and management of the Hospital, including overseeing physician relationships and clinical services. Previously, he served Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer for NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital, managing the day-to-day operations, overseeing operating and capital budgets, and implementing clinical strategy. He also served as Vice President for Ambulatory Care at NewYork-Presbyterian, responsible for operations of all Ambulatory Care Network sites. Rob joined NewYork-Presbyterian in 2005 as Director for Financial Planning and Business Development Services. Prior to that, Rob spent 16 years in healthcare consulting and held senior level management positions at both Deloitte Consulting and Sterling Capital Management. He also held a management role at the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation. Rob obtained his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University and received a Master’s in Health Administration from Duke University.

Laureen Hill, MD, MBA, is Group Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer for NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. In this role, she manages and directs daily operations, including the cost, quality, and delivery of services for NYP/Columbia, and is also accountable for NYP Allen. Dr. Hill joined NewYork-Presbyterian in 2017, and previously held several key leadership roles at Emory University School of Medicine/Emory Healthcare, including Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology and Chief of Anesthesia Services, as well as Chair of Emory’s IT Governance Committee and Co-Chair of its Perioperative Governance Committee. Prior to joining Emory, she was Vice Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University School of Medicine and a Professor of Anesthesiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery. A board certified anesthesiologist, she received her medical degree from the University of California, Davis, and holds an M.B.A. from Washington University. She completed her residency in anesthesia at Stanford University, as well as fellowships in critical care medicine and adult and pediatric cardiovascular anesthesia. Dr. Hill is a member of numerous national and international committees, including the Society of Critical Care Anesthesiologists, the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the Society of Academic Anesthesiology Association.

​​Joe Ienuso, M.B.A., is Group Senior Vice President, Facilities and Real Estate for NewYork-Presbyterian. In this role, he is responsible for maintaining facilities, capital assets, and operational integrity across NewYork-Presbyterian and its integrated health care delivery system. He also oversees all facility development, engineering, capital planning and major construction projects, and provide planning expertise to Royal Charter Properties. Previously, Mr. Ienuso was Senior Vice President of Capital and Financial Operations Northwell Health. Prior to joining Northwell, Mr. Ienuso worked at Columbia University, where for 26 years he served in various capacities with progressive responsibility, ultimately becoming Executive Vice President for University Facilities and Operations at Columbia University, a role held for over a decade. Mr. Ienuso holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia School of Business, as well as a bachelor’s degree in human services and counseling and a master of science in education from St. John’s University. He has received numerous honors, including the Leadership Award from the Salvadori Center, the Corporate Social Responsibility Award from City & State Reports and was named a founding member of the Corporate Alliance Program by Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Sheila Kelly is Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer for NewYork-Presbyterian. In this role, she has ultimate responsibility for leading NYP's capital campaign and long-term strategic planning for major development initiatives. She also oversees the development team’s focus on raising critical funds to support the hospital system’s mission.

Prior to joining NYP Ms. Kelly served as the Chief Advancement Officer at Robin Hood, New York City’s largest poverty-fighting organization, where she oversaw the development, communications, events and marketing divisions. Under Sheila’s leadership, Robin Hood raised a record $200 million in 2020, and launched an innovative $15 million Power Fund to invest in leaders of color-led organizations that address economic injustice.

Prior to joining Robin Hood, Sheila served for over 4 years as the Chief Development Officer at Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street, where she led efforts to expand philanthropic support for the organization’s global social impact programs, and created new ways to connect the Workshop’s programs with funding activities.

Sheila previously served as Senior Vice President, Development at The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, and at Time Inc. as Director of Events and Entertainment Marketing at Entertainment Weekly, where she managed high profile annual events, created revenue generating marketing programs for advertisers, and built partnerships with renowned global brands.

Sheila graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in English from Providence College. She resides in Crestwood, New York, with her husband and two daughters.

Deepa Kumaraiah, M.D., is Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at NYP. In this role, she oversees both enterprise-wide medical affairs and the integrated Quality and Performance Improvement program. She also oversees the Clinical Service Lines, where she provides leadership, management, and strategic vision for the integration of those efforts across all NewYork-Presbyterian hospitals and the NYP Medical Groups. Dr. Kumaraiah joined NYP in 2012 and previously served as the Senior Vice President, Service Line Integration and Chief Physician, NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Groups; and before that, as Vice President and Associate Chief Medical Officer of Service Lines and Clinical Strategy. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where she continues to practice in the cardiac intensive care unit. Prior to joining NYP, Dr. Kumaraiah was a health care consultant at McKinsey and Company, focused on health care system transformation. She completed her cardiovascular fellowship training at NYP/CUIMC and her internship and residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. She earned her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania, her Masters of Business Administration from the Wharton School, and her Sc.B. from Brown University. She has been named NewYork-Presbyterian Physician of the Year and is a Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine.

Wilhelmina M. Manzano, MA, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN, is Group Senior Vice President & Chief Nursing Executive and Chief Operating Officer, Perioperative Services for NewYork-Presbyterian. As Chief Nursing Executive she leads the Department of Nursing and sets the vision and strategic direction for nursing across NYP. As COO for Perioperative Services, she provides strategic leadership and oversight, sets goals and strategies for integration, alignment, and standardization, and ensures optimization of both clinical and business operations, and promotes a culture of safety. Ms. Manzano also held the positions of Chief Quality Officer at NYP and Chief Operating Officer for NYP/Allen Hospital and prior to joining NYP in 1998, she held various leadership roles at several New York area hospitals.

Ms. Manzano obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master's in Nursing Administration and an Advanced Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resources (Organizational and Executive Coaching) from New York University. She attended the Johnson & Johnson-Wharton Fellows Program for Nurse Executives at the Wharton School and holds an Advanced Nursing Executive National Board Certification. Ms. Manzano is a Fellow of the American Nursing Academy and the New York Academy of Medicine. She was President of the American Nurses Foundation (2020 – 2022) and is currently the Vice President.

Susan Mascitelli, RN, is Senior Vice President, Patient Services & Liaison to the Board of Trustees for NewYork-Presbyterian. She is responsible for NewYork-Presbyterian’s Patient Experience and Patient Centered Care infrastructure, oversees the Department of Patient Services, and is the Executive Sponsor for Integrative Health and Wellbeing. Ms. Mascitelli also acts on behalf of the President and Chief Executive Officer as official Liaison to NewYork-Presbyterian’s Board of Trustees. In addition, she has administrative responsibility for NewYork-Presbyterian’s Volunteer, Chaplaincy, Pastoral Care, Ethics, and Administrator-on-Call functions. Over the past 30 years, Ms. Mascitelli held leadership roles in many of NewYork-Presbyterian’s quality, patient safety, and regulatory initiatives and has served NewYork-Presbyterian in progressive levels of patient care and management, beginning as a General Staff Nurse in the CCU, then Senior Staff Nurse, Patient Representative, Assistant Director, Director and Vice President of Patient Services. Ms. Mascitelli obtained her undergraduate degree in Nursing from Columbia School of Nursing and a Certificate in Executive Leadership from Harvard Business School.

Devika Mathrani is the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer for NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where she is responsible for the development and implementation of advertising, marketing, public relations, print, broadcast, and social media strategies. Her role involves partnering across the organization to develop and advance NYP’s message of top quality, safety and patient experience excellence in the local, regional and national healthcare marketplaces.

Prior to joining NYP, Ms. Mathrani served as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of the Consumer Bank at Wells Fargo NA, where she rounded out her 20+ years career in the financial services sector transforming iconic global brands, consumer and B2B firms.

Throughout her career, Ms. Mathrani has focused on delivering profitable growth through customer acquisition, loyalty and engagement, digital innovation, enhanced customer experience and brand development/management.

She has extensive experience in partner management and negotiations, having co-led key partnerships between banks and the travel and retail sectors.  She is also recognized for developing high-performing teams through the recruitment and retention of exceptional talent.

Earlier in her professional life, Ms. Mathrani served as Managing Director, Chief Marketing Officer of US Cards and Global Digital Acquisition for the Consumer Bank at Citi, and as Vice President, US Consumer Card Acquisition and Integrated Marketing Channels at American Express.

She has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management from the Stern School of Business at New York University and has been a guest lecturer at the Duke Fuqua School of Business for more than 10 years. Devika Mathrani’s joining the senior executive team at NYP is a homecoming of sorts, as she is a native New Yorker born at the former NewYork Hospital on East 68th street, now NYP/ Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Juan Mejia, M.P.H., is Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of NYP Lower Manhattan, and NYP/Weill Cornell Medical Center. In this role, he manages day-to-day operations, oversees operating and capital budgets, and implements clinical strategy at both hospital campuses. Since joining NewYork-Presbyterian in 2003, Mr. Mejia has served in several roles including Revenue Manager and Director of Clinical Operations at NYP Milstein, Director of the Gastrointestinal Service Line at NYP/Columbia, and Vice President of Operations at NYP Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital. Most recently, he served as Vice President, Operations for NYP/Weill Cornell. Prior to joining NewYork-Presbyterian, he was a consultant for the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene where he worked closely with community-based organizations to reduce infant mortality. Mr. Mejia earned his Master of Public Health from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University and his Bachelor's in Physiological Science from the University of California in Los Angeles.

Jaclyn A. Mucaria, M.P.A., is the President of NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens. In this role, she is responsible for the overall leadership and operations at the Flushing location and all of NYP/Queens’ satellite locations. A distinguished health care professional for over 28 years, and member of NYP’s senior management team for over 15 years, Ms. Mucaria previously served as Chief Operating Officer of NYP/Queens. Prior to that, she served as Senior Vice President for Ambulatory Care & Patient Centered Services. Before joining NYP in 2000, Ms. Mucaria worked for 12 years at Mount Sinai Hospital as Associate Hospital Director and in a variety of leadership positions in outpatient care, inpatient services and diagnostic-ancillary services. She holds a Bachelor’s in Medical Technology from SUNY Stony Brook and a Master’s in Public Administration from the Wagner School at New York University.

Stacey Petrower, M.P.A., is President of NYP/Hudson Valley Hospital. In this role, she is responsible for the strategic direction and management of the Hospital and oversees the day-to-day operations. Prior to this, Ms. Petrower was Chief Operating Officer of NYP/Hudson Valley Hospital. She joined NYP over 10 years ago, first in corporate services and then in operations at both NYP/Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital and NYP/Weill Cornell, previously as Vice President, Operations at NYP/Weill Cornell. Ms. Petrower began her career at Mount Sinai Medical Center in the Women's and Children's Division and then held various administrative positions at Montefiore Medical Center. She later served as Director of Columbia Presbyterian Eastside at the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. Ms. Petrower holds a Bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton and a Master’s in Public Administration and Health Care Management from Pace University.

Miriam Maxian Rike is Senior Vice President of Finance at NewYork-Presbyterian. In this role, she has a varied portfolio of responsibilities, which include accounting, finance, budget, risk management/insurance, banking relationships, financing, leasing, traditional treasury, and the capital budget and capital planning process. A focus of Ms. Rike’s work includes furthering the business partner relationship with the Medical Groups as well as NYP Hudson Valley, NYP Queens, and NYP Brooklyn Methodist.

Prior to joining NYP, Ms. Rike served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at The University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Medical Center and Langley Porter Hospitals. Earlier in her career, she served as Vice President of Finance for Cancer Services at UCSF’s Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, as well as Vice President for Investment Banking at J.P. Morgan Chase.

Ms. Rike holds a Master of Science in Real Estate Development and a master’s degree in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.). She earned her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, also from M.I.T.

Dov N. Schwartzben, MS, is Senior Vice President, Finance for NewYork-Presbyterian. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing agreements representing billions of dollars in annual revenues with all non-government payors for NewYork-Presbyterian. Mr. Schwartzben has more than 30 years of experience in health care finance with a diverse background that includes roles in government, hospitals and accounting/consulting firms. Prior to joining NewYork-Presbyterian, he served for almost ten years as Vice President of Budget Reimbursement and Financial Planning at Maimonides Medical Center. He has more than 20 years of experience in teaching graduate courses in finance. In addition, he has written multiple articles and lectured nationally throughout his career. Mr. Schwartzben obtained his undergraduate degree in Economics from McGill University and his Master's from New York University.

Shaun E. Smith, JD, is Group Senior Vice President, Chief People and Culture Officer for NewYork-Presbyterian. In this role, he is responsible for leading all aspects of human resources operations, including talent acquisition, training and organizational development, compensation and benefit services, employee and labor relations, and workforce health and safety services. Mr. Smith joined NewYork-Presbyterian in 2012 as Vice President of Human Resources at NYP/Weill Cornell, and as NewYork-Presbyterian evolved, he took on the responsibility for providing human resources strategic direction and oversight for our Regional Network Hospitals. Mr. Smith has over 20 years of human resources, legal, and health care management experience, including leadership roles at Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh, New York. Mr. Smith received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration as well as his law degree from Pace University. He was an adjunct professor of Human Resources Management at the State University of New York in Plattsburgh and also serves on a number of health care industry boards.

Tiffany Sullivan, MPH is Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for NYP Physician Services and the NYP Ambulatory Care Network. In this role, Ms. Sullivan leads the Ambulatory Care Network and Services. She also oversees the development and management of the employed NYP Regional Hospital medical groups and their integration through an NYP Regional Hospital Network Management Services Organization (MSO). Her Ambulatory Care Network and Care Coordination leadership responsibilities include determining the strategic direction of Ambulatory Care Services implementation; developing primary care goals, operating plans, policies, and short—and long—range objectives for Ambulatory Care Services; and establishing a systematic evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of patient care services. She also serves as a member of the NYP Regional Hospital management team, responsible for development of the Regional Network physician enterprise and its integration within NYP. Ms. Sullivan earned her Master’s in Public Health at the University of South Carolina, Arnold School of Public Health and health Administration, and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Columbia College.

Karen Westervelt, M.H.C.D.S., is Group Senior Vice President, Strategic Initiatives and Chief of Regulatory Planning. In this role, she provides strategic and operational guidance relative to enterprise growth, planning efforts and oversees NYP Healthcare System’s network development efforts and discussions with other provider organizations.  She also leads NYP’s enterprise-wide digital transformation initiative by working collaboratively with Weill Cornell Medicine and ColumbiaDoctors towards the goal of improving patient services by taking advantage of new strategic opportunities afforded by advances in digital technologies.

Ms. Westervelt is also responsible for overseeing NYP Global Services, which consists of Global Patient Services, Executive Health program and Corporate Health. These three programs provide access, care coordination and relationship management services for approximately 6000 international and domestic patients per year. Furthermore, Mrs. Westervelt oversees the Office of Regulatory Planning, which supports the entire NYP enterprise in the development, formulation, and implementation of plans for clinical, administrative and facility projects in accordance with established State and Federal policies and procedures.

During her tenure with NYP, Ms. Westervelt oversaw the acquisitions and administrative integrations of NYP’s regional hospital network in Brooklyn, Queens and Westchester.  Prior to joining NewYork-Presbyterian, Ms. Westervelt served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the William F. Ryan Community Health Network, comprising 17 primary care, behavioral health, and specialty care community health centers. She previously served as Deputy Commissioner of the Office of Primary Care and Health Systems Management in the New York State Department of Health, managing the regulation of New York State’s health care system and implementation of federal and state health care system reform.

Ms. Westervelt received her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from Russell Sage College and completed a Master’s in Health Care Delivery Science at the Tuck School of Business and the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College.  She serves on numerous boards.

Philip J. Wilner, M.D., M.B.A., is Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer for NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Division, where he oversees behavioral health services across all NewYork-Presbyterian campuses. He also serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Gracie Square Hospital, a 136-bed provider of comprehensive and personalized mental health services located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. In these dual roles, Dr. Wilner’s work involves strengthening Gracie Square Hospital’s tighter integration into NYP’s robust and progressive behavioral services line.

Dr. Wilner is also Executive Vice Chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Wilner joined the former New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center as a House Officer in 1983 and was the recipient of a Readers Digest Research Fellowship in 1988, conducting studies in the biological bases of psychiatric illness. Dr. Wilner obtained his undergraduate degree summa cum laude from Columbia College, his medical degree from the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University, and his Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration and Policy from Zicklin Business School at Baruch College. He is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and member of the New York Academy of Medicine and the New York Psychiatric Society.
