Let Us Devise a Treatment Plan Just for You

While there is currently no cure for Alzheimer's disease and no way to reverse the deterioration it causes, we provide optimal treatment of the disease and the possibility of participating in cutting-edge research, as well as guidance, education, and support for you and your loved ones. Treatment may include:

Medical Therapy

We use medications to treat the cognitive symptoms of Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. Examples include cholinesterase inhibitors (Aricept®, Exelon®, and Razadyne®), memantine (Namenda®), and other medications to manage symptoms such as depression, agitation, hallucinations, delusions, and insomnia.

In patients with other causes of dementia, we may use medications that are typically used for Parkinson’s disease to treat movement impairments such as stiffness and slowness. We treat psychiatric conditions such as depression with antidepressants, and we treat agitation with a variety of other medications (combined with behavioral approaches).

Surgical Treatment

Surgery is a treatment that may help some people with normal pressure hydrocephalus. We are known for our expertise in the treatment of this reversible disorder, which can be helped with surgery.
